Ambassador Liu Xiaoming presents the Copy of his Credentials
2010-03-02 08:18

On 1 March 2010, Ambassador Liu Xiaoming presented the Copy of Credentials to Mr Simon Martin, director of protocol and Vice Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps.

Martin welcomed Ambassador Liu Xiaoming to the UK to assume his post and assured Ambassador Liu that he would be fully functional following the presentation of the Copy of his Credentials and may attend any event including those held by the royal family. Mr Martin said that the protocol department of British Foreign and Commonwealth Office would be happy to facilitate Ambassador Liu’s work.

Ambassador Liu expressed thanks to Martin for the arrangement of presentation of the Copy of his Credentials on the second

day of his arrival, believing that such an arrangement shows the importance the British government attaches to its relationship with China, and expressed the commitment to work with his British colleagues to take the bilateral relationship forward.
