Embassy Spokesperson's remarks on Heathrow duty free discrimination against Chinese passengers
2018/02/14

What is reported is surprising and a cause of concern. We have taken note of the statement by Heathrow Airport and the apology by World Duty Free. We hope that this matter can be dealt with appropriately and that no similar case would occur in the future. Recent years have seen more and more Chinese nationals traveling to the UK for business, studies and holiday. They have contributed to the local economy and should have been treated equally and fairly. They should not be subjected to discrimination.
