Ambassador Liu Xiaoming, new Chinese Ambassador to the United Kingdom, arrived in London on February 28th, 2010. He was met at the airport by Ambassador Jarrold as Special Representative of Foreign Secretary David Miliband and by Deputy Head of Mission Chen Xiaodong and Minister-Counselor Zhang Lirong.

Ambassador Jarrold welcomed Ambassador Liu Xiaoming to London and wished him all the best in the execution of his duties as Ambassador to the UK. Ambassador Liu thanked Ambassador Jarrold for coming to meet him at the airport. He said that it was a great pleasure to take up his tour of duties in the UK and looks forward to working closely together with the British side to take China-UK relations forward.
