Fu Ying Attends Sino-UK Young Politician Forum |

On November 17 and 18, 2007, H.E. Mme. Ambassador Fu Ying came to Ditchley Park and attended Sino-UK Young Politician Forum cosponsored by British-China Friendship Association and Association for International Understanding of China. Fu Ying introduced national conditions of China and the development strategy designed by the 17th CPC Congress. She emphasized that China needs a peaceful and cooperative international environment, cherishes current development opportunities and stable political environment. China would unswervingly pursue the road of peaceful development. Fu Ying hoped that UK people would have a deep understanding of China and UK media could make balanced and objective reports about China. The participants gave warm applauses to her speech.
The Sino-UK Young Politician Forum aims at promoting understanding and communication between young politicians from the two countries. During the forum, both sides had a friendly and candid discussions on China's development strategy, economic situation, climate change, energy and environment, Sino-UK cooperation and mutual understanding between China and the international community. |
