As one of the programmes of the China Season of 2015 China-UK Year of Cultural Exchange, the dance was created by Wang Yabin together with the famous Belgian choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. It is a successful attempt for Chinese dancers and international choreographers to cooperate in creation, production and performance on the international stage. With the theme of "The Origins of Creation and Formation", Genesis displays diversified cultural and artistic characteristics and open dance language, illustrates the process of life from inner accumulation to external expansion and the impacts of space and environment on growth, and reveals the everlasting humanistic themes on new and old, birth and death, love and hate.

All seats of the theatre were occupied and the wonderful performance received warm applause from the audience.
