On August 28, 2012, Chinese Ambassador Liu Xiaoming met in the Chinese embassy with Zhang Haidi, Chairperson of China Disabled Persons' Federation, Wang Xinxian, Head of the Chinese Delegation, and Wang Naikun, Deputy Head of the Chinese Delegation, who were visiting the UK for the London Paralympic Games.
Ambassador Liu warmly welcomed Ms Zhang Haidi and the Chinese sports delegation. He said that the Chinese embassy would fully support the delegation and sincerely wished the Chinese Paralympic athletes would compete courageously, achieve great results, win new glory for China at London Paralympic Games and made new contributions to the undertakings for the disabled persons in China and around the world.
Ms. Zhang Haidi and Mr. Wang Xinxian sincerely thanked the Chinese Embassy for its warm reception and strong support on behalf of China Disabled Persons' Federation and all members of the Chinese sports delegation. They said that the delegation would bear in mind the great expectation of the Chinese people, and would endeavour together to display the self-reliant and active spirit of the disabled person in China and to both build a good image and achieve great performance at London Paralympics.
The meeting was also attended by Tang Xiaoquan, President of China Disabled Persons' Welfare Foundation, Zhao Sujing, Secretary General of the Chinese sports delegation, and Cong Peiwu, Minister-Counsellor of the Chinese embassy.
