Wang Yi: Attempting to split the Chinese nation is bound to leave everlasting shame throughout history
2020/01/13

On January 13, 2020 local time, State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who is visiting Africa, said to the press that governments and leaders of all the countries he has visited during this trip explicitly reaffirmed their commitment to the one-China principle and stated unequivocally that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China’s territory. It is a fact that the one-China principle is not just a common position of African countries, but also a long-held universal consensus of the international community. This consensus will not be affected in the least by a local election in Taiwan. Nor will it waver in the slightest because of some wrong remarks or actions by a handful of western politicians. The rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and reunification across the Taiwan Strait is an invincible trend of history. Going against it will only lead to a dead end. Attempting to split the Chinese nation is bound to leave everlasting shame throughout history.
