On the morning of November 28, 2017 local time, Premier Li Keqiang met with Prime Minister Miro Cerar of Slovenia at the hotel where he stayed in Budapest.

Li Keqiang expressed that cooperation between China and Central and Eastern Europe is a cross-regional economic cooperation mechanism and a component and beneficial supplement for China-Europe cooperation, which is conducive to promoting a healthy development of globalization. It is hoped that both countries could make joint efforts, and make full use of the "16+1" platform, so as to jointly advance cooperation between China and the Central and Eastern European countries (CEEC) as well as China-Europe cooperation.

Li Keqiang stressed that China is satisfied with the rapid development of bilateral relations. The two countries have achieved many outcomes from cooperation in agriculture, tourism, scientific research and other areas. China is ready to import competitive agricultural products from Slovenia and support more Chinese tourists to travel to Slovenia. China has a strong automobile manufacturing capacity, and is willing to boost the participation of relevant Chinese enterprises in the automobile manufacturing in Slovenia, and enhance people-to-people and cultural exchanges and cooperation, in a bid to further facilitate bilateral friendly cooperation towards a wider and broader direction.

Miro Cerar expressed that the two countries have enjoyed friendly relations and achieved substantial progress in economic and trade cooperation. Slovenia is willing to strengthen cooperation in agriculture, automobile, tourism, aviation, scientific research, winter sports and other areas between the two countries, increase the added value of cooperation, expand cultural and educational cooperation, and cement people-to-people and cultural exchanges. The "16+1 cooperation" is conducive to the development of Europe-China relations. Slovenia appreciates China's active measures in advancing the "16+1 cooperation", and would like to be a good cooperative partner of China, to continue pushing forward CEEC-China cooperation and even Europe-China cooperation at large.
