Wang Yi expressed that under strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Donald Trump, China-US relations have achieved positive progress and faced with important opportunities for further development. The two sides should well make preparation to ensure President Donald Trump's state visit to China at the invitation of President Xi Jinping to achieve positive outcomes, thus injecting new and strong impetus into the development of bilateral relations in the next period. In the next stage, China is willing to, together with the US, earnestly implement the important consensus of the two heads of state, comprehensively arrange bilateral exchanges and dialogues, expand practical cooperation on the basis of mutual benefit, control sensitive issues based on mutual respect, and continuously maintain close communication and coordination on international and regional issues, in a bid to advance China-US relations to move forward along a correct direction and better benefit the two peoples and people in the world.
