How to Apply for Macao Visa

If you would like to apply for a Macao visa at the Chinese Embassy in the U.K., please go to 31 Portland Place, London, W1B 1QD with the following documents.

 

1.Diplomatic/Official Visa

1) a completed Application Form

2) the valid passport with at least one blank visa page as well as a photocopy of the bio data page

3) the valid UK visa acquired and a photocopy of it

4) a recent 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photo

5) an Official Note from the relative institution

2.Visiting Visa

1) For Tourism

A. a completed Application Form

B. the valid passport with at least one blank visa page as well as photocopies of the bio data page and all used inside pages

C. the valid UK visa acquired and a photocopy of it

D. a recent 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photo

E. the bank statements for last 3 months (balance should be over £500 per month)

F. a letter from your employer or school or a photocopy of your own company license

G. booking information of your return flight tickets, accommodation and itinerary in Macao, tour receipt

H. pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to enter Macao (if any)

2) For Family Visit

A. a completed Application Form

B. the valid passport with at least one blank visa page as well as photocopies of the bio data page and all used inside pages

C. the valid UK visa acquired and a photocopy of it

D. a recent 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photo

E. the bank statements for last 3 months (balance should be over £500 per month)

F. a letter from your employer or school or a photocopy of your own company license

G. booking information of your return flight tickets, accommodation and itinerary in Macao

H. pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to enter Macao (if any)

I. if stay with a friend or a relative in Macao, the information of the relevant person including the name, address and telephone number, and the photocopy of the residence/stay document of his/hers in Macao

3) For Business

A. a completed Application Form

B. the valid passport with at least one blank visa page as well as photocopies of the bio data page and all used inside pages

C. the valid UK visa acquired and a photocopy of it

D. a recent 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photo

E. the bank statements for last 3 months (balance should be over £500 per month)

F. a letter from your employer or school or a photocopy of your own company license

G. booking information of your return flight tickets, accommodation and itinerary in Macao

H. pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to enter Macao (if any)

I. an invitation letter from the invitee in Macao

4) For Study

A. a completed Application Form

B. the valid passport with at least one blank visa page as well as photocopies of the bio data page and all used inside pages

C. the valid UK visa acquired and a photocopy of it

D. a recent 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photo

E. the bank statements for last 3 months (balance should be over £500 per month)

F. a letter from your employer or school or a photocopy of your own company license

G. booking information of your return flight tickets, accommodation and itinerary in Macao

H. pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to enter Macao (if any)

I. the admission document of a high-educational institute in Macao

5) For Work

A. a completed Application Form

B. the valid passport with at least one blank visa page as well as photocopies of the bio data page and all used inside pages

C. the valid UK visa acquired and a photocopy of it

D. a recent 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photo

E. the bank statements for last 3 months (balance should be over £500 per month)

F. a letter from your employer or school or a photocopy of your own company license

G. booking information of your return flight tickets, accommodation and itinerary in Macao

H. pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to enter Macao (if any)

I. the employment approval document of Macao authorities

6) For Dependant

A. a completed Application Form

B. the valid passport with at least one blank visa page as well as photocopies of the bio data page and all used inside pages

C. the valid UK visa acquired and a photocopy of it

D. a recent 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photo

E. the bank statements for last 3 months (balance should be over £500 per month)

F. a letter from your employer or school or a photocopy of your own company license

G. booking information of your return flight tickets, accommodation and itinerary in Macao

H. pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to enter Macao (if any)

I. Macao identity card of the family, document of kinship, etc

7) Stay as relative of non-resident worker

A. a completed Application Form

B. the valid passport with at least one blank visa page as well as photocopies of the bio data page and all used inside pages

C. the valid UK visa acquired and a photocopy of it

D. a recent 1.5-inch full face light-colored background color photo

E. the bank statements for last 3 months (balance should be over £500 per month)

F. a letter from your employer or school or a photocopy of your own company license

G. booking information of your return flight tickets, accommodation and itinerary in Macao

H. pages carrying important information in a travel document previously used to enter Macao (if any)

I. the approval document of Macao authorities to stay in Macao

 

Time of issuing: The normal service takes 4-10 working days. The express service takes 3 working days, but is provided conditionally.

 

Visa Fees: For normal service, it takes £20, for express service, it takes £35; in some cases, the fees will be decided on issuing.

 

Important Notice:

1. Nationals of 66 countries and regions enjoy visa-free visits to Macao Special Administrative Region, for details, please check on http://www.fsm.gov.mo/psp/eng/EDoN.html#EDoN_VII.

 

2. Nationals of Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam have to apply for Macao visas at the Chinese Embassy in the U.K.

 

3. Nationals from countries other than the above 1.&2. may choose to apply for Macao visas at the Chinese Embassy in the U.K. or make a visa-upon-arrival (entry permit) application upon their arrival at Macao.

 

4. The Chinese Embassy in the U.K. does not accept application by post. Please apply for the Macao visa in person.
