Ambassador Liu Xiaoming Holds Talks with Renowned British Experts

On January 16, Ambassador Liu Xiaoming held a discussion at the Embassy with John Chipman CMG, Director-General of the International Institute of Strategic Studies in London, Charles Grant CMG, Director of the Centre for European Reform, Henry Newman, Director of Open Europe, Richard Baldwin, Director of the Centre for Economic Policy Research, and Ian Bond CVO, Director of Foreign Policy, Centre for European Reform.

Ambassador Liu briefed the experts on the latest progress of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and China-UK relations and encouraged them to continue to contribute to the mutual understanding and cooperation between China and Britain in the new year and share their advice and suggestions to the China-UK "Golden Era".

The experts spoke highly of the outstanding achievements China has made in its development and diplomacy over the past year and are willing to further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with China so as to make greater contribution to the development of China-UK relations in the new year.

They also exchanged views on international and regional situations and global hot issues.
